Strangeways

Live at the Ship Inn
Gillingham.

I've always been sad I never got to see the beginnings of  Jim Morrison , Mark Bolan , Bowie and even Johnny Rotten but I have had the privilege to watch the stylings of a new kid on the block who is making similar waves, ladies and gentlemen and a few freaked out young groupies in the front row , may I introduce you to Strangeways.

Here we have a band that will either impress with the talent that quite clearly all of the band members poses or make those hairs on the back of your neck stand up and think to yourself , " what the fuck did I just watch" and seriously left standing wanting to do it all over again. I AM THE LATTER. without a doubt.

Tom Turner is a front man who deserves to be seen to appreciate the creative energy that simply oozes from his soul. He plays to the crowd with finesse and style , luring you down the rabbit hole through a labyrinth few would dare to walk alone, He is brilliant in the way he brings his alter ego to life.

Hes backed by 4 very talented musicians, Max Sheehan on lead guitar delivers driving. melodic hard hitting riffs. Harry Cook on bass drives the funk/punk like a pro and certainly holds the pace. Thom Shaddic on guitar brings his own hard hitting chest height strumming to whip the crowd up a notch and loose their shit. All driven forward with some hard hitting, bone crunching drumming by James Duffy. Together they are tight. original in their own right and defiantly know how to entertain a crowd.

So if its pure entertainment , theatrics , madness and some solid pit worthy tunes your miserable little life needs , get your butt down to one of their gigs and live a little. I'll be there , in the pit!!!
