Those who know me , will tell you I'm always on the hunt to discover new music. Especially if there's potential to be sweating my tits off in a pit. I'm happy to tell you , ladies and gentlemen , I was not disappointed catching Aggravation at the Forum, Tunbridge wells last Tuesday.
Here we have four very energetic , talented musicians who simply destroyed me physically with their sublime punky metal crossover. Every song played was as on form as the one before. and it just got harder as the set went on . Its no wonder they are making waves down Brighton way.
Ben Left oozes stage presence , doesn't stand still and delivers some powerful crisp clean yet aggressive vocals , its truly a pleasure to watch him destroy himself with the energy he exhumes on stage and its infectious. The pit was brutal on my 55 year old body, but id do it all over again.
He's backed by Alex plumber on guitar with killer riffs and ear destroying breakdowns. Hong To drives his bass like he's about to ramraid a cash machine with a bulldozer and I'm supprised Benedict Lewis has a drumkit in one piece after the gig . He's brutal , adding fuel to the trail blazing journey these guys are on whilst on stage.
Two tracks that are now permanently on my playlist are "slave to society" and "providence place" . Both available on those streaming thingies.
Catch these guys if you can , make sure you are ready to hurt the next day. Will be looking out for their next gig. See you in the pit.
