Pryma

Live at the Ship inn , Gillingham.

What do you get when you cram a venue full of Prymates , a band that's on the journey of discovery and a breakneck set that's loaded with blinding riffs and breakdowns.  You get a pit , in a space that shouldn't be able to accommodate one but does.  Its mad , manic and just downright called for.

Pryma are mid blazing a trail across the UK gathering momentum and converting new minds to the unique blend of styles that are defining who they are. Fronted by the ever present Gaby George whos stage presence captivates the audience as she reels them in with nice clean melodic vocals only to whip them into a frenzy with her face ripping growl.  She's backed up by 3 very talented band members, Anthony Durrant on bass , Dominic Smith ( sometimes Jesus) on the drums and a stellar guitarist Max Raven, These guys are tight , well honed and really look like they are loving every moment sharing the sage together.

The set delivered , did not disappoint and left everyone begging for more. Tearing through "Suicide storm " , My bastard gods " and  "Survival" set the pace for what was to come .  The birth of the pit , Theres no doubth that this gives the band that litle boost, that sense of knowing what you are doing on stage has turnmed the crowd up a notch and as one unit push that "lets make them go mental " button. Then all hell breaks loose .  Theres no better feeling than watching a band that has realised that what they deliver on stage is being lapped up by the crowd resulting in everyone , in that moment , living the best gig they have ever been to .

The  set just gets better ,  intertwined with hard banging riffs , fast paced rhythm , a touch of core and a whole lot of attitude. Its no wonder they have shared the stage with some serious contenders , Florence black in London and gracing the stage at Bloodstock 2023.

I can honestly say the gig came to a close with everyone wanting more , wanting to keep that moment in the " sweat pit " alive for as long as possible but all good things hey . New Prymates were born and old fans were satisfied so all in all , what a night .

Until next time guys .
